Zeiss has extended the prescription and material offering for its Sports Lenses portfolio and introduced three new single-vision products.
The company explained that the extended power range provided practitioners with an increased dispensing choice, enabling them to satisfy a broader selection of patients’ Rx needs with high wrap frames or sunglasses.
It has introduced 1.67 hi-index lightweight material across all single-vision lens design options, which it said created a valuable extension to the portfolio, offering value-added dispensing opportunities.
The sports portfolio also includes freeform designs, described as the ideal correction for wrap. The designs incorporate the specific frame wrap angle as a parameter for each individual lens design to compensate for aberrations, which Zeiss said gave individual optimisation, making aberrations in high wrap eyewear a thing of the past.
