As it celebrates 100 years of 'Better vision', Zeiss has launched a new lens portfolio and a new naming structure that aims to be consumer-orientated, easy to understand and performance related.
There are now three performance levels in the Zeiss progressive portfolio, starting with Zeiss Progressive Individual 2. The customised lens, previously Gradal Individual EyeFit, takes into account the patient's near vision behaviour and integrates it into the lens design. The new Zeiss Progressive Superb is a replacement for GT2 3D, combining the fingerprint of its predecessor with FrameFit technology for a variable corridor, giving greater frame choice and balance between frame, lens and prescription, said Zeiss. The Zeiss Progressive Plus 2 is a second generation of Gradal Plus, a new design that is described as adding enhanced binocular features for larger fields of view and greater visual comfort.
