Office comfort from Zeiss

Carl Zeiss Vision has released a lens for office and occupational use. The new lens is available in three performance tiers to suit patients' requirements.

The Individual lens option is fully customisable to the patient's visual needs. The lenses use freeform technology and are available with variable corridor lengths that allow for greater frame choice for the patient. They are also available in thin and lightweight lens options and feature binocular balancing of the progressive zone to enable better spatial perception and contrast vision.

The company added that the maximum intermediate distance (MID) could also be customised within a range from 100cm to 400cm. The range of vision could be customised from the individual reading distance up to the individual MID of the wearer, which made the customised lenses suitable for individual applications that required specific working distances.
