Zoobug is a new collection of children’s designer eyewear available for autumn/winter 2006 and created by UK eye surgeon Julie Diem Le.
Inspired by her extensive professional contact with children and the need to increase awareness of the importance of eye protection for children, Diem Le spent two years researching and developing the range.
Zoobug is designed for three- to 15-year-olds, retails in the £28-49 price bracket and each model has been ‘exhaustively tested on children’.
The collection comprises: Sports Performance for 11- to 15-year-olds; Designer for nine- to 15-year-olds and FlexiBugs for three- to eight-year-olds. The Sports Performance range includes five styles such as Spyder, a lightweight aluminium alloy frame; Hornet, a slender aluminium alloy style with spring-hinged sides; Cricket, a wraparound design with interchangeable lenses; Superbug and Butterfly.
