Wearing spectacles at school may start being viewed as 'cooler' thanks to the influence of celebrities, according to a new poll by Vision Express.

A total of 81 per cent of kids believe the likes of Tinie Tempah, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Leona Lewis and Rihanna are helping glasses wearers be accepted around their peers.

It stands as an example of the power famous people have in the eyes of today's youth, although sporting idols are lagging behind the music business in promoting eyewear.
