Awards judging is finally over

Optician has been running its prestigious awards for about 15 years but judging the mass of entries never gets any easier.

Last week saw Optician's officed filled with judges invited from all corners of optics to help judge the 2011 Optician Awards and what a task it was.

Some categories has a mass of great entries forcing at least two panels to carry their judging on past the expected finish time and in one case into a second day.

Of course it is all worthwhile when the winners make their way to the stage to collect their trophy on the night. The awards this year will be [presented at our glittering black tie bash on the Saturday night of Optrafair April 9.
