I am writing in reference to the article by Dr Trusit Dave, ‘Understanding multifocals and getting them to work’.
I have to say I found the article extremely interesting, comprehensive and useful. I think we all agree that pupil size and centration is far too often the critical factor that defines the success when fitting MF contact lenses. It is very refreshing to see how more and more manufacturers are addressing these issues with the view to improve the success rate of contact lens fitting for ECPs and their patients. I am sure someday we will all approach fitting presbyopic patients in the same way we do now with toric prescriptions – with confidence!
