Chris Bennett: State-of-the-art web presence

You’ll be seeing some big changes on the Optician website soon but don’t panic. We want to make sure you get the very best from the improvements we have made for you. Following some simple pointers will provide a seamless segue to the new site.

The new website will have a crisp and easy to navigate new look which will guide you through our comprehensive coverage and the enhanced editorial package launched by Optician earlier this year. Be sure to look out for each week’s theme. The first issue of the month takes its cue from contact lenses, the second lenses and dispensing, the third, fashion and frames and the fourth management and independents. Our clinical coverage, introduced by Bill Harvey, has been boosted by a further 12 pages every week and, following the GOC’s new rules, Optician will launch its distance learning interactive CET modules in early June. The new website will also be putting more of our coverage behind a paywall for the exclusive benefit of subscribers.
