Comment: It's good to talk

Optician has been trailing the arrival of the new Continuing Education and Training requirements for some time but almost a month into the new regime there are still many questions.

The changes to CET are designed to promote more interactivity among registrants and make sure eye care professionals continue their education in all areas of practice, both laudable goals.

Many in the professions have been left wondering exactly what it all means to them and what they need to do to earn more points. Rest assured. The changes do not mean registrants have to start clocking up hundreds of miles driving to conferences and meetings, interactive points can be gathered through Optician and its website.
