Contrary to the widely publicised Which? report, with its claims that some half of eye examinations are poor or very poor, more than nine out of 10 adults in Britain are satisfied with the service they received on last visiting an optician.

Contrary to the widely publicised Which? report, with its claims that some half of eye examinations are poor or very poor, more than nine out of 10 adults in Britain are satisfied with the service they received on last visiting an optician.

It's obviously not nearly as good a story to have the public pleased with what's on offer, yet it really does seem that consumers can find little at fault with their eye care. The fact that 93 per cent of the 1,033 adults surveyed in the joint College of Optometrists/Optician survey were satisfied with the thoroughness of the eye test isn't quite so headline grabbing as student optometrists finding fault with the testing capabilities of unidentified seniors.
