With the sight test fee being increased by 2.5 per cent to a touch over £19 (see news) the OFRC took a more aggressive stance than usual. But does the profession have the stomach for a fight?
OFRC negotiators didn't mix their words saying the profession would strongly resist any additional burdens flowing from next spring's Primary Ophthalmic Services Regulations. They also said 'we', by which I assume they meant the profession, couldn't take on any more work without more pay.
