Designs for the strong woman

Fashion designer Marios Schwab has collaborated with Berlin eyewear brand Mykita to launch two new sunglass models, Hamilton and Jane.

Geometrically shaped Hamilton, inspired by Terminator actress Linda Hamilton, features a horizontal bar joining the two small circular lenses with a vertical bar joining it to the nose bridge. According to Mykita, the industrial looking frame was created for ‘a strong woman’.

Jane is a rounder model with bigger lenses and has a more feminine feel, according to Schwab.

Both models are available in mauve and powder and darker colours such as fir green, ultramarine and black and feature coloured tone-on-tone lenses which match the lacquer colour of the frame.

Schwab described the models as having an ‘industrial’ style as their circular frames are created from thin sheets of stainless steel before being folded into shape.
