Hawks and doves

One of the nicest aspects of village living is seeing a bit of nature. When you move away from the city you leave the grime and noise behind and as they fade nature begins to show its face. I received an excited text from Mrs Optician Editor the other day. She had just seen a Sparrow Hawk take out a pigeon in mid-air. She didn't capture the 'hit' but managed some mealtime shots.
