I'm back

To regular readers of this blog you won't have had much to read of late, sorry I have been otherwise engaged. I have been doing a lot of interviews and visits plus hosting a round table discussion group. ( see the picture). This was held in the fabulous Edward VII room at Rules in London where, apparently, the old rogue used to meet Lillie Langtree for after-show liaisons. My other Blog, the Oakley Transitions Ironman Team has also taken my time, check it out. It suddenly occured to me that among my interviewees of late have been the MDs of Boots and Bausch & Lomb both of which have been the subject of bid activity from private eqyuity firms...spooky. Corporate finance is very much in my mind. I am just about to write the Comment for this week's Optician and a rash of positive company results has been reported which desrves a mention.
