Johnson & Johnson Vision Care has now extended the range of two of its brands, 1-Day Acuvue TruEye and Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism.
The 8.5mm 1-Day Acuvue TruEye now covers -6.50D to -12.00D (in 0.50D steps) and +0.50D to +6.00D (in 0.25D steps).
A new base curve of 9.0mm is also available and J&J is offering practitioners a free 30-day supply so that they can experience the benefits of the lens for themselves.
New powers have also been added to J&J’s Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism range in all minus powers (plano to -9.00D) in three cylinders (-0.75D, -1.25D, -1.75D). The manufacturer reports that this will be followed by a -2.25D cylinder in September.
David Ruston, director of professional affairs for Johnson & Johnson Vision Care in Northern Europe, said of the additions to the Oasys range: ‘By extending our range we can continue to provide even more astigmatic patients with greater clarity and comfort throughout the day.’
