Letter: Capita has failed us

I am writing in response to the letter from Mr Hitchin ‘Time to take action’. While I completely empathise with the frustration expressed in the letter, it is not simply a case of the AOP being ‘reluctant’ to take action against NHS England. Your readers will recall our High Court action against NHS England last year in defence of performers’ allegedly inappropriate GOS claims.

The AOP takes the problems this has caused for our members extremely seriously and we weigh up the best approach to receive the best overall outcome.

Capita’s performance has been completely unacceptable and has caused enormous damage to members in terms of costs financially, administratively and very often emotionally.
