A leading contact lens guru last week praised the industry for its low carbon footprint compared to other consumer goods sectors.
Indeed, Professor Nathan Efron told an audience that the waste from 12 months of contact lenses was equivalent to that of 23 cans of fizzy pop.
Even still, a contact lens brand has this week gone a step further by compiling a list of six creative uses for old contact lens cases.
A personal favourite was the suggestion that cases could be reused to store mouthwash, or condiments. Perhaps a combination of garlic sauce and mouthwash in each compartment would cover all bases? There is also the ‘travel grooming product case’ for the minimalist out there.
