Last week gave me an insight into the extremes of the NHS. On the Monday I was privileged to attend the NHS Health and Social Care Awards. This was a very uplifting occasion, full of people who had developed services within their communities for the benefit of those communities.

Last week gave me an insight into the extremes of the NHS. On the Monday I was privileged to attend the NHS Health and Social Care Awards. This was a very uplifting occasion, full of people who had developed services within their communities for the benefit of those communities.

I met some incredibly enthusiastic individuals who had overcome not only their personal adversities but, in many cases, the adversities presented by the NHS structure, to develop some amazing new services that helped people in so many ways. These people were so enthusiastic about the developments they had put in place and there was no denying the incredible differences these changes had made to individuals.
