Moneo writes: The year of the outcome

This year, as with recent ones, looks packed full of exciting opportunities for optometrists and dispensing opticians alike.

Like many previous years Mrs Moneo nagged me mercilessly until I came up with some meaningful resolutions. I have to say that last year’s resolution of putting on weight was one of the first I have ever managed to keep going throughout the whole year!

However, this year I have decided to be less flippant and my main resolution will be to concentrate on ‘outcomes’. I have taken to reading the very grand annual reports of our professional bodies and, considering just how much we pay each of these august bodies, they need to be very grand indeed.
