New eyewear range looks to tip the ‘scales’

Optician joined hordes of fashion bloggers at the launch of Julien MacDonald eyewear at the Vision Express’ flagship store on Oxford Street last night. A few slippery customers also made an appearance on the glasses themselves.

The venue was packed to the rafters with guests trying to uphold the ‘gorgeous and glamorous’ dress code. MacDonald’s range itself included embroidery and art deco shaped sparkles along the temples with clear branding for those looking to show off their new designer look. One of the designs manages to wrap a gold snake synonymous with the MacDonald look around the temples.

The Welsh designer arrived at the event to excitement and was greeted by designer friends and his hosts at Vision Express, who are used to throwing a party now after recent releases of Heston Blumenthal and Mark Cavendish eyewear at the venue.
