NHS specs feature on the BBC's One Show

There was an unexpected surprise served up at Wednesday dinnertime when the BBC's One Show slotted in package on the history of NHS specs.

Although interesting, presenter Angelica Bell didn't quite do the profession the favour it might have hoped for. She recounted how both her plano and myopic friends at school referred to her as four eyes and her life in specs as a nerd. A few unresolved images issues I fear. To be honest I didn't even know she was a specs wearer but her romp through the NHS back catalogue is well worth a watch. Zoom along to 35 minutes on the One Show catchup here until 2015.
