Now that's a rip off

The things we journalists have to do to get a story. Hot on the heels of a tale about a DO who was in court for testing sight one of our intrepid reporters found the need to get hold of a copy of the local free newspaper. perry%27s%20paper.JPG As she entered the shop she noticed the newsagent was reading a copy of the local freesheet and asked if she might have a copy of the said free newspaper. She was then taken aback when the newsagent closed the paper he was reading, handed it to her and then asked for 40 pence. All this talk of rip-off opticians is clearly wide of the mark. Perhaps the internet whizz kids should start aiming their fire at the local corner shop. The next time a patient comes in and asks for specs "a bit like yours" you know what to do. The asking price might need to be raised a little though.
