Anyone who watches day time TV will have been served up a treat on Monday if they wear glasses.The BBC have combined the forces of Gloria Hunniford, Angela Rippon and Jennie Bond to explain how we are all being ripped off by Opticians.

There was the usual from Jamie Murray Wells, disgruntled shoppers and a helpful ex boss of Vision Express explaining how lenses only cost 25p each. There was even an AOP bod confirming that the glasses bought on the internet adhered to the same standards as glasses provided in the high street. She did go on to explain why hetting glasses face to face was better.
With this programme so well trailed the optical business should have had a whip round and signed up Max Clifford to put its case.
Using the very same arguments he could have asked Jennie Bond why the BBC licence fee is £145 when you can now pick up many channels for nothing. They all broadcast programmes after all
