'Shocking' discovery

I write in regard to your article ‘Asda plays up to £144 million pensioner “eye tax”’ and I couldn’t agree more.

I had a similar situation which also left me ‘shocked’, the details being equally ‘eye-watering’.

I discovered that some car retailers such as Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, BMW etc, were charging anything between £50,000 and £250,000 for a car, while companies such as Kia, Vauxhall, Ford etc were supplying cars at anything from around £9,000.

This is quite shocking – I mean, cars are all the same, aren’t they, just four wheels, an engine and a bodyshell? And that is, of course, why you don’t see anyone driving a Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, BMW...isn’t it?
