Superdry introduces Rx sunglass collection

Simon Jones

Following the launch of its first ever ophthalmic frame collection last autumn, Superdry has released a new range of prescription glazeable sunglasses.

The collection, from Inspecs, comprises seven models - three unisex, one men's and three women's. Retro is the overriding style direction, with Wayfarer silhouettes for men and gentle 1950s styles for women. Eyewear aficionados will like the leather and bamboo temples and Japanese seven-barrel hinges.

The men's Officer (above) design features a modified profile of the Wayfarer shape in a dark Havana hue. Green tinted lenses add to the frame's retro appeal and Durango leather temples add extra detail. The women's Honor (below) model has a shape from the 1950s, but the crystal tobacco colour scheme, which reveals the internal wires, adds modernity.
