This morning saw the official opening of Vision Express' Oxford Street east store. On hand was a very impressive collection of movers and shakers from the optical business, and me.
It's always good to get out and see some practices and the lure of some Heston Blumenthal-inspired breakfast nibbles was enough to get me on a pre-0700 train from darkest Surrey.
In true Hollywood style doormen kept the public at bay as Heston and VE CEO Jonathan Lawson performed the official opening..
The store itself looks great and the technology embedded within its structure and customer facing areas is impressive. I was particularly impressed by the interactive touch screen contact lens tool.
