The View from the High Street

It has been an interesting time for the optical industry thanks to the changing economy, but take a moment to consider our recent store opening. On November 5 2009 we opened our doors for the first time to the public in Bath. We had no patients on our database and an anxious team, eager to put into practice all of their new optical knowledge.

It has been an interesting time for the optical industry thanks to the changing economy, but take a moment to consider our recent store opening. On November 5 2009 we opened our doors for the first time to the public in Bath. We had no patients on our database and an anxious team, eager to put into practice all of their new optical knowledge.

The team had to be recruited and trained for a store that wouldn't be finished fully until a few weeks before opening. This was an exciting but daunting task. It required getting the balance of experienced staff to work effectively with three new team members who had no optical experience.
