While on a domestic errand of mercy this lunchtime I witnessed a retail scene opticians dream of. A group of four young women, between 16 and 20 years of age I would guess, rushing towards a frame display stand. 'Wow look at these,' one shrieked beckoning the others over. ' There are loads of animal prints zebra, giraffe, tiger. And look random funky patterns too. You get a chain and a case with the same pattern,' the added exitedly. They all then started to try the frames on and comment on how good each of the others looked in their new specs. Great news I hear you all shout. But hang on. Where was I? Embarrasingly I was in Primark.... I was shopping for kids clothes - come on, give me a break, And the specs...... were ready readers. The price of the specs, cases and chains? Trust me, you don't want to know.
