Viewpoint: Diary of a Spectacle Designer

Something terrible has happened. I’m turning 50 years old. Gone are the days when I was called ‘the young spectacle designer’; a label I didn’t really like as I sought to establish myself. It doesn’t sound that bad now.  

I’ve been in Optics for 27 years and yet somehow I feel I’m just getting started. Then, I remember I’m about to be 50 and I had better get a move on and do something amazing. Just to put this in context, when I started my business, I said I was going to be the biggest independent eyewear brand in the world. So, like I said, I’m just getting started.
