Dr Robert Cubbidge has been appointed as principal
Dr Robert Cubbidge has been appointed as principal of ABDO College and would start the role in July 2021 when he takes over from Jo Underwood.
A senior lecturer in optometry at Aston University, Cubbidge has a long association with ABDO and has been an external moderator since 2014.
Sir Anthony Garrett, general secretary at ABDO, said: ‘I am delighted that we have managed to recruit such a well-known and respected teacher to build on the tremendous work that Jo Underwood has done and I am sure everyone will give him a warm and generous welcome when he takes up his post.’
