Bausch+Lomb has launched a new series of educational workshops for children at its UK headquarters in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.

The opening workshop featured a range of interactive activities to help 10-11 year-olds from the nearby St Elizabeth's Primary School learn about eyes and how they work.

The activities included watching a qualified practitioner check their teacher's eyes at Bausch+Lomb's new in-house eye clinic via live streaming and the children also had the opportunity to have a personal photograph of their own iris.

Dave Exall, vice president of customer services at Bausch+Lomb, said: 'We've had great feedback from the children and their teachers and we hope to open this opportunity out to more schools in the near future.'
