Sight Care Conference 2016 challenged independent practices to stay ahead of the competition by experimenting with new niches.
It was also the stage for Paul Surridge’s transition, as he stepped down from his role as CEO of Sight Care after 18 years.
Surridge told Optician he would keep a hand in optics, having moved the organisation from a buying group to a business and marketing support network for independent optical practices.
He will be replaced by Steve Wright, 400 visitors to the Hilton Birmingham Metropole were told.
