Eyewear

MODO Eyewear
Sustainability will be at the top of the agenda for Modo Eyewear with new additions to its eco and biobased collections. The Cassia, Cypress and Hazel ophthalmic frames join the bio-based collection, along with sunglass styles Balsa and Tamarind. Frames in the bio-based range are derived from the oil of pressed castor seeds and injection moulded to minimise waste. New styles in the eco collection, which are made using phthalate-free acetate, include the Jacinth sunglass, a low-slung rectangular profile that’s perfect for summer.

Framed Eyewear
Among the brands on show at Framed Eyewear will be Slovenian producer Laibach & York. Two new styles will be added to the Capital collection, named after capital cities around the world. Laibach & York was founded in 2013 by industrial designer Blaž Oberč, with all styles designed and manufactured at its headquarters in Slovenia.
Named after the Australian capital, Canberra (pictured above) is a bold squared-off cat’s eye, while Sofia (pictured left) captures the springs of Bulgaria’s Vitosha mountain with glitter through a deep silhouette.
Kirk & Kirk

Among new styles on show at Kirk & Kirk will be the Horace ophthalmic frame from the Centena collection, which has also received a nomination at the event’s Love Eyewear awards in the men’s frame category.
Constructed from 10mm acrylic sheets, Horace has obvious heft, but the lightweight nature of acrylic and clever CNC machining means the frame weighs next to nothing and remains comfortable for extended periods of wear. Glass-like colours complete the package.

Götti
The new Bionic collection is an exercise in reduction and simplification. Produced using 3D printing and entirely from seed derived from castor bean plants, the Bionic collection streamlines eyewear production using shorter transport distances, reduced energy consumption and recycling. To achieve the single material construction, a new hinge system was developed, taking its inspiration from human ball and socket joints.
Bondeye

As exclusive agents of a new line of children’s frames from Exeter Eyewear, Bondeye Optical will be exhibiting iPlay, which is described as a range of highly adjustable and stylish products designed to fit small faces easily.

Mondottica
The Ted Baker and Pepe Jeans brands will be extended with several new additions released at 100% Optical. New to the Ted Baker collection is women’s ophthalmic style Wilma. With statement lines and hidden brand detailing on temples, the frame is the spectacle equivalent of the little black dress.
Children’s ophthalmic frame Kranky is a miniaturised panto shape with a striking gradient colourway. It’s also one of three of the supplier’s frames nominated in the Love Eyewear awards.
