Wide view of Croatia for Aston students

During the summer, I attended an optometry conference at the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica, in Zadar, Croatia. Having just completed my first year of optometry at Aston University, this conference allowed me to expand my knowledge by learning from lecturers and university professors from the US, England, Germany, Slovakia and Croatia.

Dr Shehzad Naroo of Aston University presented the opportunity to attend the conference to its students and I attended with one other student, Sara Ajam. As this was my first time in Croatia, I also took the opportunity to explore its beautiful landscape and learn about the country’s history.
