Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is celebrating the first anniversary of its 1-Day Acuvue TruEye, the world’s first daily disposable silicone hydrogel contact lens by launching a five day free trial promotion and national TV advertising campaign.

Designed to drive patients into practice, the television and online campaign will run from September 7. The 30 and 20 second adverts will highlight the health benefits of 1-Day Acuvue TruEye emphasising how its greater oxygen delivery and UV protection helps keep eyes white and healthy.

The £1.6m advertising campaign will be supported by an offer of a free 5-day trial for 1-Day Acuvue TruEye. All consumers who try the lenses will also be eligible enter a competition to win one of five luxury city breaks for two with £250 spending money in Barcelona, Marrakech, Florence, Lisbon or Prague by logging onto www.acuvue.co.uk/city.

These offers will be further supported by point-of-sale materials including posters, dummy spectacles and promotional wallets which hold the 5-day free trial lenses.
