SPECSAVERSSpecsavers in Arbroath has taken over its neighbouring retail unit as part of a £400,000 expansion in the Scottish town.

The number of test rooms at the location was to be increased from three to five, a statement said, allowing staff to carry out around 200 additional eye tests each week.

Jamie Buchan, store director at Specsavers Arbroath, said: ‘This is a hugely exciting project and we are looking forward to having a huge new store which will allow us to provide an even better service to our customers. We opened in the town in March 2004 and we have grown significantly in that time thanks to the support of the Arbroath public.’
