
Colleagues have paid tribute to Judy Lea, head of optometry development at Specsavers, after she tragically died in a serious road traffic collision on March 28.
As well as working as a specialist optometrist and partner at Longton Specsavers for nearly 20 years, Lea was head of university engagement and optometry development, a regular speaker at clinical conferences and an assessor and examiner for the College of Optometrists.
Giles Edmonds, clinical services director at Specsavers, who worked closely with Lea, said: ‘Judy’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many. A much loved and respected friend and colleague, she was a true inspiration to everyone who knew her.
