Specsavers appoints head of optometry development

Specsavers has appointed Judy Lea as head of optometry development to support the next generation of optometrists and lead the multiple’s pre-registration programme.

Lea started her career as an optometrist in 1987 before becoming a practice manager and no also worked as an assessor and examiner at the College of Optometrists.

‘Optometry has been very good to me. I also enjoy training and development and am keen to put something back into optometry. So, I want to help the next generation of optometrists by supporting them to work better with patients and colleagues to become better clinicians,’ Lea said.
