ABDO has announced it will team up with ITN Productions for the third year running to produce news and current affairs-style programmes

ABDO has announced it will team up with ITN Productions for the third year running to produce news and current affairs-style programmes.

They will be introduced by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky and feature key industry interviews and news-style reports.

Its aim was to provide a greater understanding of the role of dispensing opticians, with particular focus on paediatric dispensing, lens technology and spectacle frames.

Simon Shelley, head of industry news, ITN Productions, said: ‘ITN Productions has enjoyed its partnership with the Association of British Dispensing Opticians, and we’re keen to embark on another programme exploring the nation’s eye health. By bringing new innovations and solutions to screen, and looking into the organisations and the passionate people behind them, we hope to spark new dialogue that could shape the future.’

The first part of ‘ABDO Insight 2016’ will be premiered at Optrafair on April 10, followed by another to coincide with National Eye Health Week in September 2016.
