Simon Rodwell, secretary general of the Association of Contact Lens Manufacturers (ACLM), has announced he will retire at the end of September.
After more than 25 years of service, the ACLM said Rodwell’s unwavering commitment and efforts were instrumental in supporting the UK contact lens industry.
They particularly noted his leadership during the challenges posed by Brexit, the Medical Device Regulations, and the Covid-19 pandemic.
Richard Smith, chair of the ACLM, will lead the organisation into its new chapter and ensure it adapted to the changing needs of the industry.
The ACLM said it was looking to welcome new members under a restructured framework that aimed to better represent UK manufacturers.
