The company had pop-up fitting booths for its Acuvue brand at four days of auditions in Wembley last month.

Its booth targeted ‘young contact lens considerers’ who were given a one-on-one consultation with a consultant, the company said.

Those who visited the booth also received a free trial voucher, redeemable on the high street.

Mathilde Beau Johnson & Johnson Vision Care marketing director UK and Ireland said: ‘By teaming up with The X Factor, we were able to reach a huge audience of young people needing vision correction, and show them first-hand how Acuvue brand contact Lenses could help them improve their performance.’
