Adlens and Mondottica agree distribution deal

Silmo was the venue for the announcement of a strategic partnership between UK-based variable focus eyewear manufacturer Adlens and global eyewear distributor Mondottica.

The partnership will be known as Adlens Europe, and will offer Adlens' existing range, including a new John Lennon collection also unveiled at Silmo.

A management group will be made up by executives of Mondottica, under the direction of a board comprising an equal number of executives from both companies and responsible for all strategic decision making.

Adlens CEO and executive chairman Michael C Ferrara, said: 'Mondottica has an outstanding established reputation in the eyewear industry across the globe. Together we have agreed a partnership and signing the Memorandum of Understanding is the first step towards establishing our joint venture. This partnership will strengthen our position as we prepare to launch our products into the European market.'
