And mother came too

A mother and daughter were celebrating this week after both graduated from the same optometry course at Aston University.

Amrat Bhogal, 43, and her daughter Gurpeet, 21, of Handsworth Wood, Birmingham, donned their caps and gowns for last Wednesday’s graduation ceremony after completing three years of the BSc Optometry programme together.

They said they were inspired to apply for the course by their father and husband who is in the profession and owns Pickford Opticians, in Brierley Hill, West Midlands.
