Bradford College graduate receives special award

Ophthalmic dispensing graduate Mahmuda Islam was among the graduating students to receive special awards for exceptional achievements at the 2023 Bradford College graduation ceremony.

The first ever principal’s Award for Excellence went to BSc (Hons) ophthalmic dispensing graduate Islam, who achieved the highest grades against all peers graduating.

‘Getting this award is an incredible achievement. It is a culmination of years of dedication to my course and the pursuit of knowledge,’ she said.

More than 400 students donned their caps and gowns to graduate in front of a packed audience of family, friends, staff, and VIP guests at the ceremony on November 23.

Bradford College principal and CEO Chris Webb congratulated the graduates and said that he hoped graduating would give them ‘the confidence to be brave and go out and change the world’.
