Animated optom stars in TV ad

It focused on the benefit of having a comprehensive eye exam

Vision Express’ marketing mascot, Marvin the Mole, has been joined by a cartoon optometrist based on a real-life professional working in its Oxford Street practice in London.

The TV ad, aired for the first time in March, focused on the benefit of having a comprehensive eye exam and aimed to explain the many tests an optometrist can perform.

It showed the animated optometrist, Vikita, joyfully interacting and ends on the campaign strapline, ‘see more for less with Vision Express.’

Steve Worboys, retail director at Vision Express said the ad would bring the care offered in practice to life for customers. ‘As the first optical retailer to create a distinctive TV animation that also focused on a real-life optician to be able to demonstrate here the work that our passionate opticians deliver day in and day out across our 500+ stores.’
