AOP invites councillor applications

The Association of Optometrists welcomed applications for six designated positions on its council to contribute to its policy work and member services, with a closing date of April 11.

Positions open for application included academic optometrist, domiciliary care optometrist, franchisee and joint venture partner, newly-qualified optometrist, pre-registration optometrist and undergraduate student.

The domiciliary care optometrist, academic optometrist and franchisee and joint venture partner would serve for three years; the newly qualified optometrist, two years and the undergraduate student and pre-registration optometrist, one year.

All newly appointed councillors would join the council at the June AGM.
