CooperVision has launched the Proclear Multifocal lens in the UK.
The company said the new lens combined the balanced progressive technology design of the outstanding Frequency 55 Multifocal with the PC Technology as used in the current Proclear range of lenses.
Balanced progressive technology combines spherical and aspheric optics with unique zone sizes. The 'D' lens for the dominant eye and the 'N' lens for the non-dominant eye work together, and as a result, stereopsis, and therefore depth perception, is maintained by the wearer.
UK sales and marketing director David Nygren said: 'Balanced progressive technology means that the Frequency 55 Multifocal has been an extremely successful, simple to fit, multifocal lens. It is, therefore, the natural step to take this design and combine it with our Proclear material.
