The BCLA is inviting proposals for clinical presentations at its 32nd Clinical Conference and Exhibition, to be held in Birmingham from May 29-June 1 2008.
Clinical presentations must have a practical approach and allow delegates the opportunity to learn new clinical skills. Any topic of relevance to clinical contact lens and anterior eye practice may be covered.
Presenters are entitled to complimentary conference registration (up to two per presentation - auxiliary clinical tutors may be provided to meet GOC requirements) and an expenses grant is payable. Presenters will also gain points towards the new BCLA Fellowship scheme.
BCLA president Nick Atkins said: 'As well as being at the forefront of research developments, the BCLA is ever mindful of its role in supporting the everyday clinician. Consequently, practical workshops and demonstrations of the latest clinical techniques will continue to be a key feature of the BCLA conference and our CET courses.'
