The BCLA is inviting proposals for clinical workshop presenters for the Association's 2010 Clinical Conference in Birmingham from May 27-30.
Proposals on any topic related to contact lenses or the anterior eye will be considered and submissions should state the purpose of the workshop, clinical content, the workshop format and four course objectives.
According to the BCLA, each workshop has to have a hands-on clinical approach and the time allocated will be one hour. In addition, one auxiliary tutor must be provided to conform to the GOC's requirements of one presenter for each six delegates. The BCLA will provide additional tutors if required.
Successful applicants will receive a voucher towards the cost of attending the conference for each workshop presented as well as gaining 10 points towards attaining the Fellowship of the Association.
The closing deadline for proposals to be considered by the BCLA conference committee is September 25. Presenters of accepted workshops will then be required to submit a 1,000-word outline of the workshop by April 1, 2010.
