With a move to alternate years, a three-day meeting and a brand new venue, the BCLA’s 2015 Clinical Conference & Exhibition will have a look and feel very different from recent years. So what’s behind the changes and what else can delegates expect to find when they meet in Liverpool from May 29-31?
Following a wide-ranging review of the conference format, and a successful revamp for the BCLA Visionaries & Pioneers event, the BCLA has put together a programme aimed at meeting the changing needs of delegates and of its industry partners.
‘The BCLA has been the global contact lens and anterior eye meeting. It was the conference that everyone wanted to emulate,’ says CEO Cheryl Donnelly. ‘But the industry, the profession and the climate has changed enormously – there’s now more competition in education. We still have a unique offering but we need to move that offer to meet the needs of our membership and all those involved.
